New Hope Presbytery

The logo of the Presbytery of New Hope was created in 2015 by UNC Journalism and Communications student, Meaghan McFarland. Meghan was a student in the UNC Presbyterian Campus Ministry program at the time. Her gifts for digital design led to an invitation from the presbytery to create a logo. The presbytery charged Meaghan to create a symbol to represent “growth and flourishing in new ways.” The logo was originally designed to be used for the launch of New Hope’s Passion Driven Ministry Grant, as the presbytery re-imagined it’s mission to support innovation in churches. It later came to be adopted as the Presbytery’s official logo.

The logo also draws on imagery from John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.”
