Pastors/Educators
Retreat this fall at The Trinity Center at Salter
Path, |
|
No matter how many times you've led the Bible
study...even if you've heard your church children sing "Oh Jonah..."
you will plumb new depths of meaning from that Hebrew scripture with the inimitable Carson Brisson, professor of Hebrew and deep, deep thinker in matters theological at Union-PSCE. Carson, everybody's favorite person at Union, is leading our pastors/educators retreat this fall at The Trinity Center at Salter Path, October 19-21, 2008 -- "The fish that failed to digest the Word of the Lord: the book of Jonah as didactic narrative." As always, this educational retreat is underwritten by The White Fund (for the education of pastors & educators (and commissioned lay pastors) in New Hope Presbytery through Union Theological Seminary & Presbyterian School of Christian Education). Please see the attached brochure for the Fall Retreat at the Trinity Center at Salter Path to be held from Sunday, October 19 through Tuesday, October 21. Click here for brochure (.pdf) And if you plan ahead, the retreat dates for upcoming years are: October 25-27, 2009 October 24-26, 2010 For more info, contact Pat Donofrio pdonofrio@nhpresbytery.org or Bob Inskeep binskeep@fpcraleigh.org |
