Rev. Katie Aumann discusses the importance of praying for others. Intercessory prayer usually forms the essence of many of our prayers. Interceding for loved ones, the world, community concerns and a host of other critically important matters takes time, patience, trust, and a deep abiding faith in God’s grace. When interceding for others, we sit in a liminal space of trust and surrender. We trust God to hear our prayers and respond and yet, we surrender the outcome of our prayers to God. It is a challenging and holy space in which we expect God to show up.
